I like you Vagenda but I’m not sure what you think the problem is with this Cosmo article. Why can’t it tell readers about things that may cause them harm? Especially if the things in question are products marketed to women as a beneficial.
It would be stating the bleedin’ obvious and, frankly, patronising if Cosmo told its readers that an unsolicited penis is bad for their vaginas. But sharing the knowledge that fanny sprays can be detrimental to health and some sex toys may be unsafe is potentially useful. I mean, I didn’t know that jelly-rubber sex toys contain chemicals that may be dangerous.
I think you either need to better explain your disdain for this particular Cosmo article or pick your battles with magazines more carefully. As it is now, you’ve totally lost me on this one.
I don’t think Vagenda is complaining about the article so much add using it as a prop. Cosmo is not talking about these things that obviously shouldn’t go near their readers vaginas, even though its clearly not obvious to everyone. I got it
